Israel and Hezbollah – the most important decision is coming up.
The war between Israel and Hezbollah has reached a new dimension after a rocket attack in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. In our Negotiation Escalation Model, we are currently at stage 9 out of 10.
Israel blames Hezbollah for the attack, while Hezbollah “firmly denies” being behind the strike. Most European countries are urging their citizens to leave Lebanon immediately.
The Israeli government must now decide how to respond to this suspected attack. It could escalate to “stage 10” and spark an uncontrollable war in the Middle East, or it could de-escalate and enter into negotiations.
